Fresh Fish
Pescados Rubén markets all types of fresh fish caught using various fishing methods (hook and line, purse seine, trawling, etc.). Among these, noteworthy species include hake, northern bonito, mackerel, and horse mackerel.
Thanks to an extensive network of buyers distributed throughout the Spanish geography, we can offer the widest range of fresh fish, meeting the highest quality standards accredited with ISO 9001 certification.
Processed Fish
Our fish processing facility features a computerized and automated quality system to conduct thorough product tracking. Additionally, Pescados Rubén carries out all processes entirely in our factory, allowing us to tailor our products to meet customer specifications. All our products are graded by size and comply with the rigorous requirements of the European Union.
We have an autonomous chain for bagging and packaging products using a palletizing robot.
Therefore, we have the most modern cold technology, ensuring that all our products retain their purity and nutritional content.
Our processed products include: Podded squid, squid rings, whole squid, hake fillet (with and without skin), slices and loins of mako shark, slices and loins of swordfish, and slices and loins of blackspot sea bream.
Frozen Fish
Pescados Rubén has a cold storage facility with a freezing tunnel and a processing room.
The forced air freezing tunnel has the capacity to produce over 100,000 kilograms of product per day. Fresh fish is frozen in these rooms using the most modern freezing technology. Additionally, there are four refrigerated chambers of 11,000 cubic meters each and a covered loading dock with capacity for multiple trucks.
Thanks to this freezing technology, we offer a wide variety of frozen fish on land at our cold storage facility.
Furthermore, among the frozen products we work with, we can highlight swordfish, mako shark, and blackspot sea bream.
We work directly with freezer vessels, allowing us to have various frozen fish onboard in our catalog. Among the wide range of frozen fish, we must highlight our flagship products: Tuna, Bonito, Mackerel, Horse Mackerel, and Sardine.
Our main frozen products are pelagic fish (horse mackerel, mackerel, sardine).

We purchase mackerel during the season from all ports in northern Spain and freeze and process it in our facilities.
